Saturday morning was a great day to be out on the water, or in my case, out on the C&O Canal Tow Path. Truth be told I did fish the Potomac at Riley’s lock and I caught a small bass. Back up the river a bit, right underneath the aqueduct, the bass were biting on floating Rapalas. I didn’t stay too long, there was a lot of activity at a youth camp which really took away from the peace and quiet. Not saying the kids shouldn’t have fun. I am glad they were having a ball. Any ways, I caught 4 bass and a sunfish. Hook and worm didn’t seem to attract anything.
Going to keep trying for some Snakehead and since I am new to fishing the Canal, will be on the look out for fish reports and will be trying some new spots. Weather is getting warmer and I expect the fish to start spawning soon.
